(CASA) Volunteers For Children
The Nevada CASA Association supports volunteer advocacy to protect the best interests of Nevada’s abused and neglected children by promoting and supporting the development, growth, and continuation of CASA programs throughout Nevada. The Nevada CASA Association is committed to understanding and honoring the diversity of Nevada's abused and neglected children. While racial and ethnic differences may be most evident, we also recognize diversity in socioeconomic status, cultural background, gender, sexual orientation, religion, physical and mental ability, and viewpoints.
“To give a child a CASA volunteer is to give them a voice. To give them a voice is to give them hope, and to give them hope is to give them the world.”
As of October 1, 2011, there were 4,846 abused and neglected children in Nevada's foster care system. Unfortunately, less than 20% of these abused and neglected children are being served by a CASA volunteer. We are working to recruit additional CASA volunteers to protect these children's best interests. Won't you please help by volunteering, making a donation, or telling others in Nevada about the CASA mission?
